Swallow
The frog makes one bite attack against a Small or smaller target it is grappling. If the attack hits, the target is swallowed, and the grapple ends. The swallowed target is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the frog, and it takes 5 (2d4) acid damage at the start of each of the frog's turns. The frog can have only one target swallowed at a time. If the frog dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse using 5 ft. of movement, exiting prone.
Quick Reference
Running This Encounter
Giant Frogs are relatively simple creatures best used as environmental hazards or low-threat encounters. They attack with their bite and can grapple smaller prey. Consider using multiple frogs (3-4) to create a more challenging encounter, or positioning them in hazardous terrain. They have poor intelligence, so they won't use tactics beyond pursuing the nearest visible creature.
Combat Tactics
Giant Frogs prioritize biting and grappling available targets, relying on their 15 ft. movement speed to close gaps. They are not intelligent enough to retreat or use complex strategy, simply attacking until killed or frightened away.
Environment & Setting
Giant Frogs thrive in swamps, marshes, shallow ponds, and rain-soaked caverns with abundant moisture. Consider adding difficult terrain, water features, or slippery surfaces that favor the frog's movement.
