Divination
DivinationYour magic and an offering put you in contact with a god or a god's servants. You ask a single question concerning a specific goal, event, or activity to occur within 7 days. The DM offers a truthful reply. The reply might be a short phrase, a cryptic rhyme, or an omen. The spell doesn't take into account any possible circumstances that might change the outcome, such as the casting of additional spells or the loss or gain of a companion. If you cast the spell two or more times before finishing your next long rest, there is a cumulative 25 percent chance for each casting after the first that you get a random reading. The DM makes this roll in secret.

Player Guide
Use Divination before major encounters or decisions to gain strategic intelligence about upcoming events within 7 days. Ask specific, goal-oriented questions that cannot be answered with simple yes/no, as the spell provides narrative answers from divine sources. Coordinate with your party to formulate the most tactically useful question, avoiding vague queries that waste this precious resource. The casting time and requirement for an offering mean this is best used during downtime or preparation phases rather than in immediate crisis situations.

DM Tips
Divination answers should be cryptic enough to maintain mystery while providing genuine tactical value—consider responses like 'the dragon sleeps beneath the castle' rather than complete battle plans. Be prepared for creative questions that exploit the 7-day window and reward clever party planning.
