Protection from Poison
AbjurationYou touch a creature. If it is poisoned, you neutralize the poison. If more than one poison afflicts the target, you neutralize one poison that you know is present, or you neutralize one at random. For the duration, the target has advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and it has resistance to poison damage.

Player Guide
Protection from Poison shines in campaigns featuring poison-heavy enemies (assassins, giant spiders, yuan-ti) where you can cure poisoned allies mid-combat or prevent poison damage during a short rest. Use it reactively when a party member is poisoned, or preemptively before entering a known poison-trap dungeon. The spell's primary limitation is that it only affects one poison per casting, making it less valuable against multiple simultaneous poisons.
DM Tips
Use poison as a meaningful threat only when Protection from Poison and similar cures are unavailable or already expended. Consider poison damage from environmental hazards (swamps, alchemical labs) where magic cures don't trivialize the threat.
