Running This Encounter

Giant Fire Beetles are best used as environmental hazards or minor encounters for very low-level parties. Use their bioluminescent abdomens to create atmospheric lighting in dark caves or tunnels. Swarm 3-4 beetles together to challenge a level 1 party, or use them as random encounters that can be easily avoided or bypassed through clever thinking.

Combat Tactics
