Irresistible Dance

Enchantment
Level: 6th-level
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 30 feet
Duration: Up to 1 minute
Components: V

Choose one creature that you can see within range. The target begins a comic dance in place: shuffling, tapping its feet, and capering for the duration. Creatures that can't be charmed are immune to this spell. A dancing creature must use all its movement to dance without leaving its space and has disadvantage on dexterity saving throws and attack rolls. While the target is affected by this spell, other creatures have advantage on attack rolls against it. As an action, a dancing creature makes a wisdom saving throw to regain control of itself. On a successful save, the spell ends.

Level: 6
Ritual: No
Concentration: Yes
Classes: Bard, Wizard
A-Tier Powerful action economy denial that incapacitates a single target without damage, forcing disadvantage on attacks and ability checks while concentrating.

Player Guide

Cast this on high-threat enemies to neutralize them completely—they can't move or take actions, only use their action to make a Wisdom save each turn. Pair with allies who can focus fire on the dancing target or protect your concentration. Avoid using on enemies immune to charm conditions (undead, constructs, elementals) and be mindful that breaking concentration ends the effect immediately.

DM Tips

Irresistible Dance incapacitates but doesn't damage, so confirm your table understands the action economy advantage. Consider which enemies are immune to charm before the party invests the spell slot, and remind casters they must maintain concentration during combat.
