Player Guide

Cast Stoneskin before entering combat on your party's tank or a high-value target to significantly reduce incoming physical damage. The spell's long duration (1 hour) and concentration requirement means it can be precast during preparation phases. Combine with Bladestorm or other high-damage encounters where enemies rely on weapon attacks. Note that magical damage bypasses this protection entirely, so it's less effective against spellcasters.

DM Tips

Stoneskin creates interesting tactical decisions—enemies must choose between avoiding the protected target or committing resources to overcome the resistance. Remember the spell only affects nonmagical damage, allowing casters and magical weapons to remain effective threats.
