B-Tier Grease is a reliable control spell with low resource cost, but its effectiveness heavily depends on enemy composition and positioning.

Player Guide

Cast Grease to control choke points and funnel enemies into disadvantageous positions, forcing them to either take the difficult terrain penalty or risk falling prone when entering. Use it defensively to protect your backline by creating a slippery barrier between your party and melee threats, or offensively to separate enemy formations and prevent reinforcements. The spell is most effective against enemies without high Dexterity saves or those who lack ranged options, making it excellent against heavily armored foes and beasts.

DM Tips

Clarify whether creatures can use movement to leave the greased area before or after the prone save, and note that flying enemies are completely unaffected. Consider the battlefield layout carefully—Grease is most impactful in narrow corridors or when enemies must cross the area to reach objectives.
