Sending
EvocationYou send a short message of twenty-five words or less to a creature with which you are familiar. The creature hears the message in its mind, recognizes you as the sender if it knows you, and can answer in a like manner immediately. The spell enables creatures with Intelligence scores of at least 1 to understand the meaning of your message. You can send the message across any distance and even to other planes of existence, but if the target is on a different plane than you, there is a 5 percent chance that the message doesn't arrive.

Player Guide
Sending excels at coordinating with allies, gathering intelligence from NPCs, and solving problems without proximity constraints. Use it to relay critical information before combat, negotiate with distant enemies, or contact allies who are separated from the party. The 25-word limit demands precise communication, so plan your message carefully and always leave room for a response question.

DM Tips
Sending enables players to bypass obstacles and create narrative shortcuts; consider requiring familiarity verification and limiting frequency in critical moments. Establish clear rules about whether creatures can refuse to receive or answer sending messages to maintain dramatic tension.
