Message
TransmutationYou point your finger toward a creature within range and whisper a message. The target (and only the target) hears the message and can reply in a whisper that only you can hear. You can cast this spell through solid objects if you are familiar with the target and know it is beyond the barrier. Magical silence, 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood blocks the spell. The spell doesn't have to follow a straight line and can travel freely around corners or through openings.

Player Guide
Use Message to coordinate with allies during combat without tipping off enemies—relay tactical information, warn of danger, or issue commands silently across the battlefield. Outside of combat, leverage the spell's ability to penetrate solid barriers for reconnaissance, negotiation through locked doors, or gathering intelligence without revealing your position. The spell's cantrip status means you can cast it repeatedly without resource expenditure, making it ideal for extended infiltration missions or prolonged investigations. Remember that only the target hears your message, making this perfect for secret conversations even in crowded rooms.

DM Tips
Enforce the 'familiar with the target' requirement strictly for long-distance messaging through barriers to prevent trivializing location-based challenges. Be consistent about whether Message can penetrate magical barriers like Silence or Faerie Fire, typically allowing it through unless you rule the barrier specifically blocks magical communication.
