Player Guide
Use Acid Splash as your primary ranged attack when you lack better options or need to conserve spell slots, particularly valuable for spellcasters who lack martial weapon proficiency. The two-target feature is tactically superior to single-target cantrips when enemies cluster together—position yourself to exploit groupings or coordinate with allies to bunch enemies. At higher levels when damage scales (2d6 at 5th level, 3d6 at 11th level, 4d6 at 17th level), Acid Splash becomes a respectable damage dealer, though single-target cantrips like fire-bolt may ultimately surpass it.

DM Tips
Acid Splash requires the caster to see the target and stay within 60 feet; obscurement and cover affect targeting but not the save itself. Remember that choosing two creatures requires both to be within 5 feet of each other at the time of casting, not after—measure carefully and allow players to reposition if unclear.
