A blast of cold air erupts from your hands. Each creature in a 60-foot cone must make a constitution saving throw. A creature takes 8d8 cold damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A creature killed by this spell becomes a frozen statue until it thaws.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 5th.

Player Guide

Position yourself at the edge of enemy clusters to maximize targets while minimizing backblast toward allies. The 60-foot cone provides exceptional range and coverage; use elevation or terrain to funnel enemies into the cone's path. Save this spell for concentrating enemy groups rather than isolated targets, and remember that it doesn't require line of sight to individual targets within the cone.

DM Tips

Clarify the cone's origin point and direction with players before resolving damage. Consider that Constitution saves are typically high for melee-focused enemies, so half-damage outcomes are common.
