EvocationA flame, equivalent in brightness to a torch, springs forth from an object that you touch. The effect looks like a regular flame, but it creates no heat and doesn't use oxygen. A continual flame can be covered or hidden but not smothered or quenched.

Player Guide
In combat, use Continual Flame to blind enemies by casting it on their shields, weapons, or directly in their eyes—imposing disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks relying on sight. Cast it on ammunition or allies' gear for battlefield illumination without concentration. The spell's non-magical appearance makes it excellent for infiltration: create permanent light sources in dungeons beforehand to guide your party or disrupt enemy vision during encounters.

DM Tips
Remember the flame produces no heat and doesn't use oxygen—creative players might exploit this for puzzle solutions or roleplay. Limit abuse by ruling that creatures can close their eyes or look away, reducing the blinding effect's potency in repeated use.
