Player Guide

Use Misty Step to reposition yourself out of melee range after attacking, escape from grapples or dangerous areas, and reach elevated positions or cover. As a bonus action, it synergizes perfectly with your action economy, allowing you to Attack then Step away in the same turn. Position yourself where enemies cannot easily reach you while maintaining your action economy advantage—this is your primary escape tool and positioning spell.

DM Tips

Misty Step has no attack roll or saving throw, so it cannot be countered by most abilities—use this when designing encounters against spellcasters. The 30-foot range and line-of-sight requirement are meaningful restrictions; environmental obstacles and magical darkness can limit its use.
