Player Guide

Cast See Invisibility when you suspect invisible enemies are present or after spotting signs of invisibility (footprints, displaced objects). This spell is most valuable in prepared encounters where invisibility is expected, such as facing invisible assassins, fey, or devil cultists. Use it defensively to negate the advantage invisible creatures gain, then coordinate with allies to focus fire on revealed targets. The ethereal vision benefit is secondary but useful for detecting spirits or creatures on the Ethereal Plane.

DM Tips

Consider whether revealing invisibility should automatically alert the invisible creature or if they remain unaware they're detected; this dramatically affects combat tactics. Use invisibility sparingly enough that See Invisibility feels valuable but not so rarely that wizards never justify preparing it.
